Vice President for Continuing Education
Vice President for Convention/Continuing Education is responsible for overseeing the planning on implementation of the Annual Convention and other continuing education activities, This officer appoints the chairs of the Annual Convention and Continuing Education Committees and assures these committees perform their duties.
Officer Bio: Sarah received her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2005, and has been working as a clinical audiologist within the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center (VBWC) ever since. Currently, Sarah serves as the Associate Director of the Vanderbilt Balance Disorders Laboratory and a Senior Clinical Education Associate to current Au.D. students. In 2007, Sarah served as the Silent Auction Co-Chair for the 15th Annual TAASLP Convention, and she is thrilled to begin her term as the new Vice President for Continuing Education & Convention. Sarah believes that “grass roots” initiatives at the local and state level are imperative to the survival of any profession, and will strive to bring the same level of outstanding TAASLP Conventions offered by her predecessors. Sarah also holds national leadership positions within AAA (Strategic Documents Committee - Subcommittee Chair, Screening) and ASHA (Scientific and Professional Education Board Member, 2014-2016 Term).
