President-Elect: The President-Elect serves as a key member of the Association’s leadership team, supporting the President and helping advance organizational initiatives. In the President’s absence, the President-Elect assumes presiding responsibilities and plays an active role in Executive Council decision-making and budget approval. This position oversees the Committee on State Based Advocacy Networks, including appointing its chair, and works to ensure the committee’s effectiveness. Throughout the term, the President-Elect prepares to transition into the role of President, providing continuity and strategic leadership for the Association.
Vice President for Convention/Continuing Education: The Vice President for Convention/Continuing Education is responsible for planning and executing the Association’s annual convention while developing high-quality continuing education programming that meets the needs of members. This role coordinates with speakers and presenters, manages convention logistics and budget, and ensures all educational offerings meet accreditation requirements. In collaboration with the Student Delegate, the Vice President helps incorporate student-focused elements into the convention. As a member of the Executive Council, this position also contributes to organizational decision-making and budget approval.
Secretary/Treasurer: The Secretary/Treasurer serves a dual role in maintaining the Association’s records and overseeing its financial operations. This position is responsible for recording and distributing minutes for all Association and Executive Council meetings, maintaining official records and archives in coordination with the management company, and ensuring accurate documentation of organizational activities. The Secretary/Treasurer also works closely with the Vice President of Membership to maintain a current membership roster. Financially, this role collaborates with the management team to manage Association funds, authorize disbursements, prepare the annual budget, and provide regular financial reports to the Executive Council. As a member of the Executive Council, the Secretary/Treasurer participates in decision-making and budget approval, helping ensure transparency and accountability across the organization.
Vice President of Legislative Affairs: The Vice President of Legislative Affairs serves as the lead advocate and policy liaison for TAASLP. This role involves monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, coordinating grassroots advocacy efforts, and working closely with the Board, STAR, SEAL, StAMP, members, and external stakeholders to advance TAASLP’s policy priorities.
Student Delegate:The Student Delegate represents the interests and perspectives of students within the Association, serving as a liaison between student groups and the Executive Council. This role helps coordinate student-focused portions of the annual convention, fosters communication statewide, and encourages student engagement in Association initiatives. As a member of the Executive Council, the Student Delegate contributes to decision-making and budget approval while providing valuable insight on student-related matters.
The nomination form will be active through Sept. 30. Nominees will be announced at the fall conference, with voting beginning shortly thereafter.

3. Public School Incentive Award: Awarded to an individual TAASLP member in a public school system for providing innovation or exceptional communication services to school-aged children.

Registrants who cancel their in-person convention registration 10 or more days prior to the first day of the convention will receive a full refund of their registration fee.
Registrants who cancel their in-person convention registration fewer than 10 days prior to the first day of the convention will receive a partial refund of their registration fee. The partial refund amount will be 50% of the original registration cost.
Registrants who cancel their registration for online events or virtual programming will receive a full refund, up until the day before the event.
